How big is each gem?

It varies by piece but the smallest gem is 2.5" x 2.5" and the largest is 3" x 4"
What's the difference between the Home and Collectors editions?

Home has 12 gems and a light base. Collectors has 20 gems, including scenes found only in that set.
Can I light a single gem?
